On October 25, 2024, VIK LEGAL partner Roman Saitov, at the invitation of the Ecuadorian association AEBE (Asociación de Exportadores de Banano del Ecuador) spoke at the XXI International Banana Convention "Banana Time Guayaquil 2024". The conference was held in Guayaquil, the largest city and business capital of the country. Roman addressed important aspects of contractual work that must be taken into account when dealing with Russian counterparties, and gave a number of practical recommendations for preparing and conducting commercial disputes in Russia. Roman's advice was based on the extensive practical experience in judicial protection of foreign fresh produce suppliers that our law firm has gained in recent years.
AEBE is the industry association in the Republic of Ecuador, which unites the largest banana suppliers in this country. Its members account for 70 % of all Ecuadorian exports of the fruit. Ecuador provides up to 98 % of Russian banana imports.
